RYA Shorebased theory courses are taught in our own clean and bright dedicated training room at the marina with light refreshments provided during training.
RYA Sailing and Motor Cruising scheme training from beginner to Yachtmaster level is available throughout the year.
Rya Powerboat training from novice to Advanced training is also taught all year.
Estuary Sailing is a RYA recognised training centre for the RYA Motor Cruising and Yachtmaster scheme, Rya Sail Cruising and Yachtmaster scheme and Rya Powerboat scheme. All abilties are catered for from beginner to advanced level.
All courses including RYA Yachtmaster MCA preparation and exam are taught aboard MCA coded vessels. The top quality craft used are our 35ft Westerly Seahawk yacht 'Hawkeye', Nelson 34ft motor cruiser 'Phoenix' and Ribtec 6.3m rib 'Codebreaker'. All vessels are well equipped, safe, comfortable and have been chosen specifically for their seaworthiness and suitability as training craft.
The sheltered waters of the River Crouch and its nearby harbours and anchorages are ideal for teaching boat handling and sailing skills. The waters of the Thames estuary and beyond provide challenges for more advanced training, mileage building and night sailing.
All courses provided are taught by a full professional Rya Yachtmaster Instructor and Rya Advanced Powerboat Instructor. We do not sub contract third party skippers
Estuary Sailing provides RYA tuition during weekday and weekends, with an itinerary set up to suit most students. An added benefit of having our own dedicated training room and boats is that additional courses can often be provided at short notice and with smaller groups.
